There's Something About Sweetie
by Sandhya Menon

View in Library Catalog

I enjoyed it, but I almost felt like Sweetie was too perfect--Ashish was a good, kind person, but he also had some flaws which made him feel more real/natural, whereas Sweetie was presented as an almost perfect person which took me out of the experience. Plus, there were moments where Ashish's romantic feelings felt a bit too intense (as in, the way that Menon described it felt a bit sacchrine). Lastly, I wish Ashish's basketball issue (his lack of balltopia) had more time on the page since the only time it ends up really being mentioned is when they play HORSE and it turns into making out and then at the end when he finds balltopia again (although it's not clear if it was just a coincidence or what)

Capture the Flag

I love this book because it has lots of mystery and story twists. Another reason I liked it is because that the author made up a group of people called the silver jaguar society that protects arts from around the world. And how they suspect snake arm the diner man was a serpentine princes member when it turns out he was with the silver jaguar society . Another reason I liked it is because it’s mainly about the stolen star spangled banner that was stolen. This is why I rate this 5 star is because this book is so mysterious and adventurous. I recommend all people to read it.

To Sir Phillip, With Love

Overall, this was an enjoyable novel and par for the course for a Bridgerton romance. However, I wished there was more interactions between the twins and Eloise and/or Phillip.

Efren Divided

This book was both heartwarming and heartbreaking with a touch of humor. The book is about a kid’s mom, who gets deported one day while he’s at school. But just to add to the drama, he loses a friend, has to take care of his little siblings alone, and tries to be elected school president. It’s an amazing book, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who has ever felt alone.

Dave Grohl is not only a multitalented musician, but a rocker with a conscience, inspiring and engaging young and old. He is in awe of the legends who came before him, and you can hear his respect in his writing. Great stories, fun to read.
